Our teaching methods rely on colours. Our textbooks are in colours. Children with CVD often struggle in art periods, in science lab experiments, in social science – maps. They don’t even know they are colour blind. The suffer without even realising why.
I am preparing colour-blindness-friendly study materials, such as maps, colour pencils, and periodic tables. We will distribute these materials in schools to make them more colour-friendly.
I believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn and grow. Let’s make our educational system more inclusive towards colour blind children.
